Per WP's Importing from Pivot suggestion, I used Pivot's "Export to TypePad" plugin to get my posts out of Pivot.

Export from Pivot to WPMU via the MT/Typepad file was quick, but it screwed up the date fields in all my posts - reversed the month & day fields! A post written Aug. 2nd was imported as a Feb. 9th post, and anything written past the 12th of the month caused the import script to throw an error, and was input as being written in Unix Year Zero - Aug. something 1969. Fixing that was a matter of working back and forth from the original blog entries in Pivot and WP's Edit Posts screen, fixing the post dates. Took about an hour of muttering...

I was able to fiddle with subdomains to keep both blogs "live" while I was doing this, which helped hugely.

Cool. I'm thinking about WPMU myself. I think you manually need to move the uploads folders?
